Frankenmuth Hosts GFWC Convention
The Kalamazoo Area Women’s Club recently participated in the 119th State Conference for GFWC Michigan, held in Frankenmuth, MI. Along with 150 delegates from across the state, two of our representatives celebrated the volunteer spirit with their Federation sisters. They enjoyed participating in workshops, roundtable discussions and sharing the most successful service projects from various clubs. The diverse workshops covering topics such as; domestic violence, leadership, membership, fundraising and communication, inspired our leaders to bring home new ideas for club projects. Honors and awards were also presented to Women of Achievement and for Outstanding Club Service Projects.

The Kalamazoo Area Women’s Club was honored to receive their Federation Charter at the New Clubs Federation Ceremony. Many of our members attended the ceremony on Saturday April 25th. We are certainly proud of the affiliation with one of the largest and oldest women’s service organizations in the country. We received tremendous support and many congratulations from our Federation sisters.
